I have studied at Leeds College from February 2010 to August 2014. I enjoyed training to be a humanistic counsellor enabling clients to realise their full potential in leading an autonomous life. I qualified in 2014, but carried on to study my degree at Leeds University in Psychotherapy in counselling which I completed within a year.
Whilst I was at university I studied a wide range of counselling theories which provide the framework for counsellors to interpret a client’s behavior, thoughts and feelings and help them navigate a client’s behavior from diagnosis to post treatment. Theoretical approaches are understandably integral part of the therapeutic process.
